The Netherlands, compared to Scandinavia’s more adventurous and adventure-oriented countries, seems almost quaint (the Red Light District aside). This is how the Dutch prefer it. The Netherlands is a nation known for its famous artists, quirky architecture and vintage windmills. It also has a number of coffee shops that offer a great cup of coffee. It’s a unique experience to cycle along Amsterdam’s canals. This is a great way to not only see Amsterdam but to also get a feel for what makes The Netherlands fifth most happy country in the globe.

From the majestic Swiss Alps, to the elegant streets of Geneva and the charming neighborhoods of Zurich, to the Mediterranean-esque shores of Lugano, Switzerland’s (open) borders offer so much. We can easily see why Swiss people love their small country. It is home to so many natural wonders and rich cultural treasures.
